Perham Health Hospital

bhh Partners served as the Principal Architect for the 120,000 square foot, 6 year project which started with programming and community group meetings through construction. Horty-Elving & Associates served as the Design Architect for the project.

The new hospital includes a 25-bed hospital, including 4 obstetrics’ rooms. The emergency department increased to 8 patient bays and 2 trauma rooms. The surgical department increased to 2 operating rooms. Other departments included and incorporated into the facility include Clinic, Therapy, Pharmacy, Business Office, Dietary, Lab, Imaging, Administration and Building Services. Numerous technological improvements have been incorporated in the facility including an MRI scanner, electronic medical records and a state of the art nurse call system. Visitors and patients will immediately note the large, light filled Atrium that provides direct access to all departments at the medical facility. The Atrium has large curtain walls that pour light down into the center of the building. Other interior features include a ceiling hung, custom made glass-chunk chandelier, a 2-tier water feature with collecting pool and fireplace, a light wave-wall and a custom designed donor recognition wall. Exterior features include an outdoor dining patio, a beautifully landscaped healing garden, walking paths with a labyrinth feature, vine covered wood pergola as well as a sitting courtyard.
