Park Rapids Fire Hall

The Park Rapids community is growing and so was the need for emergency services to accommodate the area growth. Undersized and inefficient, the existing fire hall was in need of an expansion. Because of the lack of space emergency response vehicles had to be garaged in multiple locations. Bhh Partners worked with the department to develop a plan that consolidated all of the departments apparatus into one central location. The facility was enhanced and modified to permit ease of ingress and egress for the trucks and apparatus. Emergency response parking and traffic circulation was studied and modified to avoid conflict with trucks that are leaving on a call. Training facilities and restrooms were also upgraded in the facility under this project. The enhancements to the facility have sped up the department’s response times.
